Homemade hamburger helper and salad; more cheesecake for dessert. Homemade hamburger helper, with salad; more cheesecake for dessert.

This was originally called Poor Man's Dinner, but to me 1/4 pound meat per person is normal, not what you do when you're poor. I understand this is only my view, of course; I've had friends and acquaintances tell me that 1/4 pound meat per person is on the hefty side, or that they usually portion 1/2 or 3/4 pound per person. (Much will depend on what you are used to, and what you serve with it, of course). *shrug* To each their own; I don't care what others do, frankly; I don't have to pay their grocery bills ;-) But, I didn't like the name because of that. We've had this a few times, and it reminded me of hamburger helper (but better quality), hence its new name.

Anyhow, it needs something else. I shall have to play around with it in the future. It's still better than boxed hamburger helper, and not much more trouble, so I highly advise you to try it, if you find yourself in the mood for hamburger helper. Do feel free to tweak as needed.

More cheesecake for dessert, am looking forward to it!
