Today's the day of my WI's annual fundraiser, a fashion show - which is a misnomer, really. The rails of clothes you see in the back and to the side are filled with clothes from the major clothes retailers; we've contracted with a woman to bring them to sell. She gets the extras and the end-of-line clothes from the clothing and department stores, and sells them much more cheaply than they do. There are a number of outfits like hers across the country; apparently this is quite a popular thing. Some of the members of my WI will be strutting their stuff down the catwalk (well, in the empty space between the seats to the left), modelling some of the clothes. We're serving tea, coffee, and cake, and we have a raffle. This year the charity we've chosen is
Willow Wood Hospice.
