Our Loot from the Great Peak District Fair, 17 Oct 2009, and around the town of Buxton:
* A lightweight jacket for me - I haven't had one for years, just my heavy coat;
* A butterfly to put in the vase with my flowers;
* A wooden flower crafted by a man with a 1920s pedal-operated
scroll saw;
* Smoked trout and smoked salmon (locally done);
* Chocolate truffle, treacle toffees, and butterscotch fudge;
* A Cajun smoked pork tasso;
* A few new (to us) Yankee Candles to try: sweet honeysuckle, macintosh spice, and lilac blossoms;
* A tealight candle holder, blue with butterflies;
* A GIGANTIC mug for Chris's tea, Brit that he is ;P;
* All the lavender the shop I'd found it in had left, plus some bay leaves (we were simply running low), tarragon (we'd never had any), and dried parsley (the one basic herb we somehow never acquired in dried form);
* And finally, the best acquisition of the day:
How to Cook Children, a book to get the nephews to behave, down the road.
And there were a few gifts I picked up as well, not pictured of course!
